Alegria Announces Tax Day Taco Giveaway April 15

One of the least anticipated days of the year for many is Tax Day, April 15.  Well this year there is something to celebrate as Alegria on Pine Avenue in downtown Long Beach is hosting a Tax Day Taco Giveaway next Tuesday.  Simply stop by the restaurant anytime between 11:30 a.m. – 10 p.m. and your first taco is free, announced owner Adrian Amosa.

“My hope is to make Tax Day just a little brighter as no one likes being separated from their hard-earned money,” he said.  “We are just putting on the finishing touches to the newly renovated Alegria so what better time to invite the public than with this giveaway.”

Amosa recently acquired Alegria from long-time owners Enzo De Muro and Terry Antonelli, who also own L’Opera Ristorante, located right next door.  The two will maintain a minority interest in the popular Latin eatery, which recently underwent improvements such as new lighting, installation of distressed jewel toned wood paneling, reupholstered booths and banquettes and custom murals and paint.

Amosa is widely considered the kingpin of the vibrant Latin dining scene in Long Beach.  In addition to Alegria, the busy restaurateur now operates 3 bustling restaurants on Pine Avenue Gaucho Grill and Agaves Kitchen and Tequila.  He also owns and operates a 2nd Gaucho Grill in Brentwood.
