HNTB just released the results of its most recent America THINKS mobility survey, which shows most Americans want the nation's transportation network and key infrastructure facilities to be improved. In fact, nearly 2 in 3 (63 percent) think the modes of transportation in their area needs to be more efficient, while 70 percent would alter their actions (getting out of their cars) if local mobility was seamless, with many taking public transit more (57 percent) and driving less (57 percent).
Certainly that would benefit Angelenos and be a step in the right direction for the L.A area to end the endless gridlock. We can't build our way out of congestion - so we have to be open to developing alternative multi-modal options if our city is to keep up with future demand on our freeways and highways.
