Blue Line Track Repairs to Cramp Riders' Style

Only one of the two tracks will be in service Friday night near the Vernon, Slauson and Florence stations.

Train service on the nation's most popular light rail line -- the Blue Line between Los Angeles and Long Beach -- will be crimped by track repairs this Friday evening.

Metro is rebuilding track in a $1.2 billion project, and only one of the two tracks will be in service Friday night near the Vernon, Slauson and Florence stations.

That means trains will run every 20 minutes after 7 p.m. Friday, Metro officials said.
