Patients at the Miller Children's Hospital Long Beach are in for a treat Friday when singer David Victor performs and they get a chance to play with art supplies for a good cause.
The nonprofit group Kidz b Kidz is organizing the celebrity visit and art party for those at the hospital's Jonathan Jaques Children's Cancer Center and their families.
From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the children will hear Victor, singer-guitarist with the band Boston, perform. They will also get to work on art pieces to be turned into Kidz b Kidz products sold in stores and online. Sales proceeds help to fund pediatric medical research and Kidz b Kidz educational programs.
Kidz b Kidz works with children to use art for the benefit of young patients with serious illnesses, according to a hospital news release. Through their art, the children learn empathy and the importance of helping others.
