Artists Provide Hotel Guests Lessons in Painting

The artistry of Rob Padilla, Roberto Munguia, Steven Kleindorfer and Rhett Johnson at the “Art Fair with a Latin Flair” with “The Artists of Hotel Maya."

The artists worked on on a 7-by-9 feet communal canvas on Sunday, Oct. 27 at Hotel Maya – a Doubletree by Hilton in Long Beach.

More than 100 guests enjoyed brunch and live painting demonstrations on communal canvases at the Esplanade and in Fuego’s private tequila tasting room as several of the artists shared their painting techniques.

Also featured were display stations with art for sale throughout the property along with live specialty music to enhance the authentic Latin American event.

In August 2013, Hotel Maya launched the new exhibition “The Artists of Hotel Maya” that features 14 leading, internationally acclaimed Latin American artists whose works are on display in Hotel Maya’s public spaces.
