BERGDAHL'S BURDEN

The recent  exchange of American Sargeant Bowe Bergdahl for five Guantanamo detainees may be a seed sowing operation the likes of which we have never known.  Previous Gitmo releasees were indoctrinated prior to their release, and apparently produced valuable information for our intelligence agencies.  Eventually, several were discovered, and subsequent foriegners who were exfiltrated from Guantanamo and some in country and out of country black site areas  were less successful than the initial double agents.                Western intelligence agencies may have the idea that the five fresh releasees wil have enhanced street credentials by virtue of the manner in which they were sent to  waypoint Qatar.    The high ranking former detainees would likely provide greater material information to US intelligence apparati than their less prestigious brethen, in a manner of speaking.              It is inconceiveable that the recent five who found their freedom were not imbedded with some sort of tracking or monitoring device.  The technology is here.  We civilians are privy to Google glasses  that have morphed into Google contact lenses.    The CIA and it's assets are usually seven to eight years ahead of present day technology, so we may not learn of what is available now, until several years from now.  Robert Frost posthumously reminds us: “The afternoon knows what the morning never suspected.”
