Man Shot in Long Beach, Pronounced Dead at Scene

The incident took place on Andy Street near Downey Avenue.

A man was killed in a shooting in Long Beach today.

It happened about 5:40 p.m. in the 3400 block of Andy Street near Downey Avenue, said Nancy Pratt of the Long Beach Police Department.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.

No suspect information was made available, nor were the victim's name and age.

Pratt said the killing was being investigated as possibly gang-related, but she did not elaborate.
