Man Shot, Seriously Wounded in Long Beach

The ncident was being investigated as a gang-related shooting.

A man was shot and seriously wounded in Long Beach and incident was being investigated as a gang-related shooting, police said today.

The unidentified victim was shot at about 9:55 p.m. Thursday in the area of 56th Street and Locust Avenue, said Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Marlena Arrona.

He was taken to an area hospital in serious condition, she said.

No suspect information was immediately available.
