Man Suffers Minor Burn in Long Beach Apartment Fire

The cause of the 4th Street blaze is under investigation.

A man suffered a minor burn injury to his hand today during an apartment fire in Long Beach, a fire official said.

The man was transported to an area hospital, said Will Nash of the Long Beach Fire Department. He had second-degree burns on his hand.

Firefighters dispatched to 1445 E. 4th St. had the fire out on the first floor of the two-story structure about 10:35 a.m.

A cause of the fire and damage estimates were under investigation.
