James Carrillo, 22, also allegedly assaulted his mother.

A parolee who allegedly assaulted his mother and then barricaded himself in their Long Beach residence was taken into custody early today, police said.

James Carrillo, 22, was booked on suspicion of various offenses, including making criminal threats and false imprisonment, and he was also held on a parole violation, said Nancy Pratt of the Long Beach Police Department.

His mother, who was not identified, was treated at the scene for injuries that were not life-threatening, Pratt said.
