Skateboarder 'Master of Disaster' Admits to Attacking Girlfriend
Duane Thomas Peters was sentenced to one-year domestic violence counseling program, 60 days of community service and five years of probation.
Professional skateboarder and punk rock singer Duane Thomas Peters pleaded guilty today to a domestic violence charge involving a run-in with his live-in girlfriend at their Long Beach home.
Superior Court Judge Laura Laesecke immediately sentenced Peters, 52, to a one-year domestic violence counseling program, 60 days of community service and five years of probation.
He was also ordered to stay away from the woman for 10 years, according to the District Attorney's Office.

Neighbors intervened after hearing a commotion shortly before midnight Feb. 7 and restrained Peters until police arrived. The woman suffered moderate injuries, according to authorities.
Peters -- dubbed "The Master of Disaster" -- is known as a pioneer of innovative skateboarding tricks. He was the lead singer of the band U.S. Bombs, formed in 1993. In 2000, he formed a new band, Duane Peters and the Hunns, later changed to Die Hunns.
