Gay marriage and civil unions will be the subject explored by panelists at a League of Women Voters of the Long Beach Area event Saturday.
Attorneys Rebecca Birmingham amd Stephanie Loftin, historian Kaye Briegel, and Waverly Farrell discuss the upcoming Supreme Court review of Proposition 8 and the Defense of Marriage Act.
The discussion runs from 10 a.m. to noon at the Los Altos Public Library, 5614 Britton Ave. The event is free and parking is available.
